The Eye of the Eclipse

By now, I am a bit more in the flow of Fall; the slowness of the season and my GOD! How I didn’t know my body needed the change of pace. I also didn’t realize my default speed is like 90 mph. Now, I am able to turn my attention inward and lean more on my instincts. Things are shedding on par with the season and to add a bit of extra spice, the eclipse comes in to help us molt that which we no longer need. There is nothing short of wisdom to be extracted from this moment. However, you have to tune in to your channel and tune out of whatever the fuck default shit reality show we exist within. This moment is all about you. 

What do you find when you enter the eye of your own storm? 

I for one have found an intense craving for solitude. As well as the wisdom that an unstable foundation must crumble for a sturdy foundation to be built. That when it all falls down, we should not be weary about the debris that lies in the wake, but hopeful of the opportunity to build something we are proud to stand on. That takes time, it takes an intense knowing of oneself and how you are meant to cultivate the life you desire for yourself. This is no one else’s work to do. 

I have been fixated on the aspects of my life where I am [meant to be] an active and passive participant in my experience and journey. Moments where I am meant to be simply a purveyor of all that [has] happen[s]ed. And how these observations are like batons passed to me to continue the race strong. There is harmony between the ebb and flow of active and passive. 

Knowing when to venture into the underbelly of your journey to marvel at your darkness and see what compost is ready to be used, is a knowing that only your intuition can provide. Just as it is instinctual when it is time to swim back to shore and carry on with newly provided tools of your own making. There is a lot more confidence that follows the forward motion. No need to be overly prudent as you are equipped to handle whatever life throws at you. That’s what darkness teaches you; that you are equipped to handle life through the alchemizing of your experiences and wisdoms.
